Stayed here for my birthday in March of 2020 and I have to say although rooms extremely large the establishment is below standard. Wallpaper coming off the walls and bloating tiles in bathroom. Left my room unattended and had my wallet stolen. I reported it to establishment management, but nothing came of it, was told that it was my property and I shouldn't of left mmy room unattended.

Even though the hotel needs updating and work doing , our room was clean and pleasant , hand sanitiser was provided and there to use . The room was acceptable , the bed was comfortable and bedding spotless and we had lovely clean , crisp white towels provided and Hannah was an amazing host and did her best to please even offering a nice continental breakfast up to our room These are difficult times as we know so we need to learn to be more accepting of changes that have to be made Thank you Hannah

Poor quality, poor room, budget or not, I'd rather stay in a budget hotel as at least things work. Don't stay here.

out of this world value great couple who run it. Tasty breakfast and a warm comfortable say a must for anyone. I found the hotel from 4 in a bed and wasn't let down. I will be retuning.

I am happy for you both. A very traditional hotel. I am in love with the theme. I am in a shock why people will actually give you a horrible review base on a tv show. I hope google will take all those comments down. Keep up with the good work. All the best.

I am really impressed after watching you guys on 4 in a bed. There were few issues which is common in almost all old hotel. Keep on the good work guys. I will surely stay at your hotel whenever i am local. Look at the positive side and ignore all those haters.

Horrible watch four in bed ,and see for yourself hotel is disgusting, don’t pay them the money because cheap. Stayed in cleaner budget hotel half the price,and no complaints

I really hope the owners Ibrahim and hannah from Four in a Bed are not working there still they came across deluded, I am so embarrassed for them what a dreadful looking hotel. What business is he actually doing all day. Dreadful just dreadful. The fact they were only short by £9 was amazing I would not have paid at all. What an embarrassment to the black nation dont dare go on anymore shows it clearly indicated you guys wanted somewhere to sleep good for the night what a shame. Discusting. Learn from you criticism and grow.

Looking for a hotel in this area I read the reviews on here first as is my usual practice and the one by Agnes Frost and Kenneth Giles in particular. I found the response to there reviews from management appalling and semi-literate to the extent I would not even consider staying at this place.

This Hotel is completely a shamble and should be forced to close down. I would not even give it a star. After visiting with a friend, I've stayed in better youth hostels.

Absolutely disgusting place, beds falling apart, things falling from ceiling and don't get me started on the bathroom. Looked and smelt as though it had not been cleaned in 50 years. Did not even last an hour and demanded a full refund but the couple refused but after 2 hours I finally managed to get my refund. The couple or deluded!!

Having watched this delusional duo on Ch4 Four Beds there is no way I’d stay in this dive . There’s a difference between budget and dilapidated. Game players - lost in the end . Maybe they should stick to ‘business ‘ and leave the hospitality industry .

Hotel is good value for money, although does not provide evening meals, plenty of good quality restaurants near by.

It was like walking into the past beautiful place really traditional vintage absolutely georgous. Only stayed one night on way home. The staff were lovely and very helpful. The owner was extremely nice and very obliging couldn't ask for more. The room was quite big and the outstandingly clean. Breakfast was great a choice of everything and more was available on request. One night wasn't enough here wish I had booked longer highly recommended would definitely stay again.

Beautiful experience we had on Montpelier Hotel, we had the master suite which was a lovely and welcomy room with a vintage look that we absolutely love. Very spacios and clean was the bathroom aswel. 5 stars are just not enought! Thank you very much!

We booked into this hotel despite negative reviews on the booking site. It turns out that we made the right decision. The staff were very friendly, helpful and seemed happy in their work. The breakfast was one of the best I've ever had at a hotel, good quality food cooked well. The hotel is just being refurbished after a period of closure so the décor is old but the rooms are comfortable and clean. I suspect that the people who left the negative reviews were expecting somewhere which was decorated yesterday... which this one definitely wasn't - but that shouldn't detract from the clean rooms, good food and good hospitality.
